Fit and Comfort for Adult Musicians

Southeastern Performance Apparel is now offering formal wear that is designed for the adult musicians.  The fit and styles are for the body of a more mature person.  No more trying to alter garments offered for our high school group customers to fit an adult.  This makes the garment more comfortable to wear and more age appropriate in style.  We have also adopted these styles in fabrics that offer easy movement for the orchestra members and are easy to take care of for the travelers.  This line includes skirts, dresses and tunic tops which are offered in three different necklines plus three sleeve lengths.  The tunics are also offered in three fabrics:  travel-ready stretch knit, supple stretch velvet and stretch profusion sequin.  As always we have a full line of performance wear for your male members.  Visit our website, www.sepapparel.com/community-groups, to view the full line.

ACDA Student Conducting Competition by Southeastern Performance Apparel

The ACDA Student Conducting Awards were initiated during the 1993 ACDA National Convention in San Antonio, Texas. We again offer this highly successful event at the 2011 ACDA National Convention in Chicago, IL. The 2011 ACDA Student Conducting Awards are sponsored by Southeastern Apparel.
The objectives of the ACDA Student Conducting Awards are three-fold:
1. To acknowledge and reward outstanding graduate and undergraduate student conductors;
2. To encourage score preparation and advancement of conducting and rehearsal skills; and
3. To promote student activity at the ACDA National Convention.
These cash prizes are awarded to the winners of the final round of the conducting awards:
First Prize, Graduate Level: $1000
Second Prize, Graduate Level: $500
First Prize, Undergraduate Level: $500
Second Prize, Undergraduate Level: $250.
In addition, the sixteen semi-finalists (up to eight undergraduate and eight graduate) each receive a $200 scholarship funded by corporate sponsors to defray costs to attend the National Convention.   For more information visit http://www.acda.org/.

Formalwear for Community & Symphony Choruses and Orchestras

We are having a photo shoot of new community/civic group performing attire this morning. The new items should be on the website within a week or so. We developed new tops and jackets that are comfortable and has ease of movement to meet the needs of orchestra members.  We created patterns for these items that fit the adult body rather than making adjustments to our youth or teenage styles.  We have new fabrics that travel well and look outstanding on stage.  Pockets have been added to skirts and pants for your convenience.  The style of our Palazzo Pant has been updated for a better look and fit making it more comfortable and pleasing to the eye.  Visit www.sepaparel.com often to see what's new. We continue to add to the website even though the catalog is printed. Give us a call at (800)239-6294 and let's talk about it.
